LOST PARADISE

the bright lights they blind,
and the blaring sirens, deafening,
people shouting, lost in misery.
the chaos ensues,
and i witness it all,
a wall of nothingness building inside,
replacing the crumbling wall of ignorance.
stood there in overwhelming agony,
stoned against reality.
the realization it sinks,
against the tide of denial,
it felt raw, deeply burning,
melting the soul.
glued in silence,
by the fear of acceptance,
refusing to take a step forward,
afraid to be blown into pieces,
back into the past.
i was afraid to embrace the truth, reality,
that you are forever gone.
finally jolted from denial,
when the acceptance finally sank,
it hurt,
and i was forced down onto my knees,
burdened by guilt and fact,
that you are no longer here.
it made me weep.

I looked up,
To the burning evening sky,
And I tried to search,
For a sense of peace, I long.
To save me.
But all I find,
is agonizing pain, and hatred.
Then, I wept.
And fell to my knees.
For too long, I’m slaved,
By hatred and anger.
It hurts. Inside it devours,
The remaining human in me,
Till there’s nothing left,
Except for a monster,
Who feeds on the darkness,
Inside of me.

But it all ends now.
I will end it all, forever.
In the silence,
I slowly prayed for forgiveness.
Weeping, I picked up the blade,
And as I thrust it into my heart,
As the pain ravages my body,
I remembered me,
The dead me, long gone.
I felt the monster curse,
And scream, in agony.
I smiled, satisfied,
That finally,
I am human, again.

They heard a gripping melody,
From a distance it came,
Dazzling, hypnotizing.
Transporting them into a distant realm,
A world where sorrow reign,
And despair triumph.
They were made to live,
In all agony,
Their deepest pain,
And the demons of sin,
Wreaked havoc, tormenting.
They prayed for mercy, for liberty,
For this hell to end,
Till finally, revelation became theirs,
Forgiveness is needed,
For sorrow to end.
So they sat in silence,
And found within their inner soul,
A meaning of forgiveness.
And then it all ended.
Where they allowed their demons and their past,
To rest eternally.
But still, even now,
The melody, it still echo,
In the heart of their soul.
Reminding them of the worth of forgiveness,
An the price of innocence.

As I write these words,
The tears they fall,
And life, it goes.
And please, don’t cry for me,
For a million tears I have shed,
And there’s no need for more.

When you read this, read it well.
For I’ll be watching you,
Whispering words of comfort,
In the calm evening breeze.
And if there’s a drop of tear,
Please, make it disappear.

Though hard it will be,
My wish is for you,
To move on, to live.
To seek happiness,
Wherever it may be.
For me, for love.

Don’t seek to blame,
For my time, it has come.
Death has come knocking.
And my gratitude, for you,
For all you have done,
For the times we had.
